How To: Hair Chalk

This summer I saw Lauren Conrad with her dip-dye hair on E. I thought it was adorable and cute. I wanted to do that with my hair but I wasn't ready to make the commitment of actually dying my hair those colors.
But then one day on pintrest I saw Hair Chalking! The colors come out great and it washes out in the shower. The only down side of the hair chalking is that is really dries out your hair.

What you'll need:
Soft pastels also called chalk pastels or just pastels. Make sure you don't get oil pastels, those will never come out of your hair

What to do:

If you have dark hair wet the ends. This helps the color stay on your hair. If you blonde hair: don't wet your hair unless you want the color to stain your hair for a few days.

Twirl you hair like this.

Then put the color in it. To finish, brush your hair with an old brush to get the excess chalk off your hair.

Now its all done! But don't forget to deep condition your hair in the shower. The chalk is very dry and your hair will need all the nutrients it can get!
