Beauty Rut

So I've been in kinda a rut lately. Usually I don't leave the house without some back up but I dont feel like doing any of that recently. Maybe it's from this whole colitis thing, I'm not really sure. But I am trying to think of ways to get out of this so I'm going to start with talking about some of my makeup essentials (when I wear it).

So my first make up essential is mascara. If I have to pick only one item to wear it would be this. I'm not really picky about my mascara and I'll try anything. I'm currently using Maybelline Falsies Volume Express Flared in blackest black.

I really like the spooned brush and it goes on very thick. I'm almost out and I will buy it again if it's on sale. Other mascaras I really like are cover girl volume lash blast and cover girl last exact. I like almost everything I try except this bareminerals flawless definition mascara. It was $20 which made me wary of it but I assumed that it would be good since I love there other make up. At first it was pretty good but it dried out really fast. I even added some contact solution to it (it really does work) and it was just eh after that. I'll stick to my $8 drugstore brands, thanks. lol

My second all time favorite make up is foundation. But not just any foundation because I have sensitive skin and it drives it crazyy. I only use BareMinerals foundation in fairly light. The make up consists of 3 components: the actual foundation, the mineral veil, and the warmth (a bronzer). It is expensive but I do think it is work it. And one container of foundation lasts me about a year. It makes my skin look flawless without looking like I have make up on. And its really light weight! I barely feel like I'm wearing makeup. And honestly, that mineral veil is a miracle worker, oh you have big pores? It'll fix that. 

For eyeliner I will try anything. If I'm wearing minimal make up that day I'll use a pencil liner around the bottom of my eyes. I like to use felt tip eyeliner markers on my eyes if I'm wearing eyeliner on my top and bottom lid. It goes on like liquid eyeliner but is a lot less messy. Currently I am using Doe Eyed   liner by Sephora. It gets dried out sometimes but I just add a drop of water to the tip and its as good as new. I also have powered liner that I put on with a brush. Most people hate it because it does on light but I have a little secret. Wanna hear what it is? Wet your brush with a drop of hot water. No, seriously! It helps the pigment stick to the brush. It looks way better. 

I really like wearing mascara but I'm not too picky on which ones I wear. I like bareMinerals a lot, but I found even the cheapest can look nice with a little water on the brush (that works too!). 

The last thing I want to talk about is BB cream. I have Two Faced Tinted Beauty Balm in cream glow. Lots of people wear it under their foundation but that is too heavy for me. Instead I wear it it by itself with one mineral veil over it. It gives your skin a nice dew-y look.
