Show and Tell

So I came across this super cute link up called Show and Tell at From Mrs to Mama. This weeks topic is How I Met Your Father. Well I don't have any kids but it gives me an excuse to talk about my one of my favorite things, Ken.

1. Tell us how and when you met you love and what attracted you most to him.

When I was a senior my friend decided she knew the perfect guy for me and when just had to date. After much prodding on her part we finally added each other on facebook. We talked and I agreed to go on a double date with him and my friend and her boyfriend. We walked around downtown and it was super cold (it was January..in Chicago…duh Brie!). We finally decided to go back home and eat at Denny's. I had such a good time even though it was so cold.
What attracted to me most was just how alive he was. He was so full of life. He made me want to be a better person by how he was (and is).

2. Show us the very first (or one of the first) pictures you guys ever took together.

This was taken on our first valentines day.Yes, we are at the Apple store. lol. There was a little bit of time before our reservations at Bucca di Beppos.









3. Tell us some of your favorite memories that you have together.

One of my favorite memories with him was when we went all the way to Wisconsin to go apple picking. But we were a week early. Yes, we drove to another state and we couldn't even go. lol. We wound up getting lost (a few times) going to two restaurants that were closed for the season, then finally going to the Kenosha outlet mall and the one is Gurnee. We may have even stopped at the one in Aurora. I'm not sure lol. It was a super fun day.

I also love going on walks with him. We always walk to 7-11 and get snacks. So much fun :)

4. Tell us your favorite qualities about your man, what makes him the one?

I love how loving he is. He loves unconditionally and he is such a great person. I know he is the one because he makes me want to be a better person. He makes me believe in myself and loves me when I am not acting very lovable. He is not perfect but he is pretty close.

5. Tell us what your "date nights" typically look like.

My favorite are when I get to get all dressed up and we go to a restaurant to eat dinner. I can't go to a bar yet but I bet when I can (in a month and a half!!!) I bet we'll be going out a lot.
